GIBRALTAR

(Like a rock) (Well ... two rocks)

A continuity assurance process with a split-personality that allows it to watch even itself, issuing alarms as needed to pre-defined recipients via text-message, e-mail, and/or a klaxon that sounds in the server-room. Just add a subroutine call to any process whose continuity must be assured, and, if that process fails, it'll fail loudly. (To be used with discretion and a rapid-response team.)
